Because of the Impact of the Book – Part 3

Why the Bible Must Be Divine in Origin

“The words of the Lord are pure words; like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times.” — Psalm 12:6 (AMP)

“Only an infinite God could fold His eternal wisdom into a finite book — the Bible.”

The Bible’s Unique Power to Transform Lives #

Among all the books that have ever been written, none can equal the Bible in its power to touch, transform, and elevate the human soul towards God. Literature, philosophy, science, and poetry may inform, entertain, or stir thought — but only the Word of God can reach into the very spirit of man, break the chains of sin, and give life eternal.

It is written:

“For the Word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energising, and effective]…” — Hebrews 4:12 (AMP)

I once knew a man—a—notorious drunkard, enslaved by sin, whose brilliant mind was twisted by evil until he was no more than a wreck of a man. But by the light of God shining through the Scriptures, he was convicted, broken, and made new in Christ. Today, he walks as a humble, upright, Spirit-filled man — a living testimony of the Bible’s divine origin. No philosophy, no psychology, no human effort could have wrought such a miracle.

What other book possesses this power?

Human BooksThe Bible
May inform the mindTransforms the heart and spirit (John 6:63)
May inspire outward reformBirths inward regeneration (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Fade with culture, timeRemains living and eternal (1 Peter 1:25)

Infinite Depth in a Finite Book #

“The more we grow in Christ, the more the Bible makes sense — because it speaks from God’s view, not man’s.”

Though the Bible was completed long ago, its depth has never been exhausted. Saints, scholars, and simple believers have studied its pages for over two millennia — yet fresh light still arises from its lines.

“The unfolding of Your [glorious] words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” — Psalm 119:130 (AMP)

The life of George Müller, who read the Bible more than a hundred times, testifies to this. Each reading yielded new treasures. Unlike human books, which a man may quickly master, this Book contains the infinite mind of God compressed into human words.

As one wise writer objected, “How could an infinite God express Himself fully in such a small book?” — but he unknowingly proves the opposite. Only God could contain eternity in simplicity. Like Christ Himself — the infinite Word made flesh (John 1:14) — so the Scriptures are divine thoughts made human words.

Growth in Wisdom Aligns with Scripture #

The more one grows in Christlikeness, the more one agrees with the Bible. At first, the Word may seem strange, hard, even offensive. But as the heart is renewed by the Spirit, its beauty becomes clear.

“But we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being progressively transformed into His image…” — 2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMP)

As purity increases, so does understanding. The Bible is written from God’s perspective. As our inner man becomes conformed to His Son, what once seemed difficult now shines as truth.

The Holy Spirit’s Inward Witness #

No argument or evidence is as convincing as the witness of the Holy Spirit in the heart of the believer.

“The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God.” — Romans 8:16 (AMP)

Jesus said:

“My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27 (AMP)

This voice speaks through Scripture. The believer who yields to God’s will, who sincerely seeks truth, will hear this divine voice and recognise its authority.

“If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know whether the teaching is of God…” — John 7:17 (AMP)

All this is only when Christ is in you, you are moved by the Holy Spirit, you are dead to the world, dead to Adam and the flesh, but alive in Christ and the Spirit.

Proven Indestructibility of the Bible Text #

Human words fade. Kingdoms fall. Empires crumble. But the Word of God has endured through every fire — not by chance, but by divine preservation.

One of the greatest confirmations is the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Hidden in caves for nearly two thousand years, these scrolls — including an entire book of Isaiah — match almost word for word with the Hebrew Bible we possess today. The same God who inspired the Scriptures has preserved them.

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” — Isaiah 40:8 (AMP)

This discovery shattered the claims of critics who said the Bible was corrupted over time.

God has preserved His Word through centuries of attack, copying, and translation — because the Bible is no ordinary book. It is the living revelation of the unchanging God.

“The Dead Sea Scrolls prove what faith has always known — God preserves His Word through all generations.”

Why the Bible Must Be Divine #

Why does this Book alone change lives, remain inexhaustible, draw growing saints closer, bear the Holy Spirit’s witness, and survive uncorrupted for millennia? The answer is simple yet profound: because its Author is God.

“All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration]…” — 2 Timothy 3:16 (AMP)

The Spirit of Christ breathes through its pages. Those who come to it humbly, in faith, hear the voice of the Living God calling His children home.

In Christ,
Shaliach.
