Question:
Bro Shaliach, I’ve believed for so many things with all my heart — healing, job breakthroughs, family issues — but I’ve been disappointed again and again. What am I missing? Is something wrong with my faith?

Answer:
Hi Ruth, thanks for being honest. This question is something many believers carry silently, so I really appreciate you voicing it.
The first thing I want to say is that your pain and confusion are not signs of weak faith. You’re not alone in feeling like this.
Biblical faith isn’t a formula that always gives instant results. Hebrews 11 talks about those who “through faith subdued kingdoms, obtained promises…” — and in the same chapter, it says others “were tortured, not accepting release… wandering in deserts and mountains”. Both groups were people of faith.
Faith doesn’t always mean we’ll see everything immediately. Sometimes it’s trusting God even when things don’t make sense.
Jesus Himself said in Luke 22:42 (AMP):
“Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done.”
That’s perfect faith — but not everything was removed. Yet His trust in the Father never wavered.
The Greek word “pistis” (πίστις) for faith isn’t about demanding results — it’s about trusting God’s nature and promises, no matter the outcome. It’s not about controlling what happens but leaning into who He is.
Sis, nothing might be wrong with your faith. You could just be in a season where God is shaping trust more deeply than before. Keep walking with Him. Keep His Word close. And remember, even mustard-seed faith can move mountains — not always instantly, but eventually.
You’re not forgotten. And your faith is not wasted.
Hope this gives you peace.
In Christ,
Shaliach
