Question:
Brother Shaliach, I’ve prayed many times for my back pain to go. I even fasted. But I still feel the same. People say I must not have enough faith. Is that true? Is it my fault I’m not healed?

Answer:
Dear Keerthi, I hear you. And you’re not alone, many sincere believers carry this quiet burden.
Faith is not a switch we flip to get results. Biblical faith is not measured by outcomes, but by trust in the person of Christ — no matter what.
As I’ve written in many posts, the Greek word for faith is “pistis” (πίστις), which means trust, confidence, and conviction — not force or pressure to produce results.
It is not about “trying harder”. It’s about holding on to who He is, even when things don’t make sense.
Sometimes we unknowingly turn healing into a transaction, “If I believe enough, then God must heal me.” But Christ is not a formula. Healing is part of the finished work — yes — but it’s also worked out in us according to His wisdom, not our timeline.
Romans 4:20-21 (AMP) — But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.
Abraham “grew strong” in faith — it didn’t come perfectly on day one. And still, he waited years. Delay is not disbelief.
Also, don’t forget this:
2 Corinthians 12:8-9 (AMP) — Three times I called upon the Lord and begged Him about this, that it might depart from me; but He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is being perfected and is completed and shows itself most effectively in [your] weakness.”
Paul was not lacking in faith. But God chose to display strength differently.
There’s no condemnation in Christ. Faith is not a means to earn healing — it’s a posture of resting in what Christ has already done. Healing is yours in Christ — but its manifestation is not always on demand.
You are not failing, Keerthi. Continue to believe. And even more, continue to know Him. Sometimes what God works in us is deeper than what we asked for.
Hope this sets you free from pressure.
In Christ,
Shaliach
